Handcycle Taster Days
We organise regular handcycle weekends at Stoke Mandeville. These are normally in April, July and September. Details will be posted on the events page when the dates are fixed.
Overview
On Saturday the main focus is an introduction to training, starting with a session on the track in the morning followed by time on the road in the afternoon. On Sunday, there will be a group ride of approximately 50 miles for experienced handcyclists. If there is sufficient demand for something less challenging this will also be organised. Try a Handcycle
There will be a number of handcycles available for people to try; Draft, Quickie Shark and TopEnd handcycles. If you haven't got a bike yet and would like to try one out, please come along but let me know!
Accommodation
Rooms can be booked at the Olympic Lodge for Friday and Saturday nights. Lunch and/or breakfast can be purchased from the cafeteria. Those that stay on Saturday usually go into Aylesbury for an evening meal.
